CYROLITE® acrylic-based multipolymer compounds

The world's most advanced medical acrylics

CYROLITE® acrylic-based multipolymer compounds, the world’s most advanced medical acrylics, provide a superior balance of properties that empower designers to create better-than-ever medical devices. CYROLITE® compounds are MMA/Styrene/ethyl acrylate terpolymers with an added impact modifier. These compounds vary according to molecular weight and rubber loading.

They are:

  • Tough
  • Transparent
  • Bondable
  • Gamma, e-beam and EtO sterilizable
  • Easy to process
  • Chemically resistant
  • Alcohols and lipid resistant
  • Resistant to plasticizers found in flexible PVC tubing
  • Free of Bis-Phenol A (BPA) Nonyl Phenols

CYROLITE® compounds are contact compatible for a range of pharmaceutical treatment drugs and carriers having passed requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) 26, National Formulary 21, 2003 <661> “Physiochemical Tests – Plastics.” These advanced polymers are appropriate for disposable medical device applications such as luer connectors, needle hubs, filter housings and suction devices.

Bring fresh ideas to life with CYROLITE compounds!
