CYROLITE® Med 2 acrylic-based multipolymer compound answers the increasing demand for lipid and alcohol-resistant material. When exposed to IPA and lipids, it blows away the strain rate limits of polycarbonates and other acrylics. It retains the acrylic properties of clarity, processability and impact resistance, even after gamma and EtO sterilization. It has successfully passed testing for bio-compatibility as per USP VI, Tripartite testing and ISO 10993 testing.

Both XT® and CYROLITE® acrylic-based multipolymer compounds are free of Bis-Phenol A (BPA) Nonyl Phenols.

Medical Packaging

XT® polymer is one of the most cost effective thermoplastics used for rigid sterilizable medical packaging trays on the market today. It has a proven track record having been used successfully for over 30 years in the Medical Packaging Industry. XT® polymer's outstanding crush, impact strength combined with it's high rigidity can result in down gauging sheet thickness and it's relatively low specific gravity can provide users with opportunities for significant cost savings. Additionally it excels in situations that require a tray with a deep draw. XT® polymer also has outstanding and consistent EtO results. It can be used with higher heat setting than other popular medical packaging alternatives which allow for shortened EtO cycles. All this without deformation surprises! XT® polymer is also compatible with Gamma, E-beam and Starrad® sterilization techniques.
